Small Business Health Insurance
Small Business Health Insurance should mean working with a broker who understands both the small business group plans and the individual health insurance plans. Most employers feel that they need to offer something to keep and attract talented employees but health insurance is very expensive. There is no cut and dry answer to when it is best to offer health insurance or offer other benefits instead. You need to work with a broker who understands both markets to determine the right answer for your business. You also want a broker who is willing to work with your employees. You have enough to do running your business without becoming the insurance expert too.

- Your broker should be in touch with you on a regular basis (not just at renewal time)
- Your broker should have access to multiple health plans to find the best for you. (As an example I have access to over 800 plans including UnitedHealthcare, Anthem. Aetna, Medical Mutual, and COSI)
- Your broker should be willing to meet also with your employees to help them get the most out of their plans and evaluate their situation to make sure they are in the best place
- If I am your broker I also have innovative approaches to get your employees the better coverage for sometimes less money.
